WELSH SUCCESS STORIES
One Team Logic
How are you contributing to Wales' vibrant economy?
One Team Logic, a multi award-winning Welsh business based in Talbot Green. Since its start in 2014 One Team Logic has grown exponentially, creating over 70 jobs UK-wide, nearly 40 of which are based in Wales. Their safe and trusted safeguarding software MyConcern is used by thousands of schools, colleges and other organisations in the UK and worldwide, enabling the secure recording, reporting and monitoring of the full range of risks facing children and young people and vulnerable adults today.
They have recently been approached and now supply some major sporting organisations. It’s fantastic to see that organisations outside education are becoming increasingly aware of their responsibilities for protecting their younger and more vulnerable members from harm. MyConcern is now helping them to do this and in doing so is making their clubs and groups, much safer places to be.
One Team Logic won both Services and Digital Start-Up of the Year at the Welsh Start Up awards 2017, and more recently was honoured with a Queen’s Award (the very highest award) for Innovation in the Enterprise category. To be recognised for services to safeguarding and child protection is deeply gratifying and deeply humbling.
What does Vibrant Economy Wales mean to you and your organisation?
3000 children in Wales are identified as needing protection from abuse and with a sharp increase in recorded sexual offences against children, these are issues that schools and colleges are often the first to be made aware of. The range of safeguarding concerns now being handled in schools has grown exponentially to include issues such as child exploitation, mental health and well-being concerns and other digital dangers.
The work that One Team Logic are doing in this arena and the use of MyConcern in any setting where children, young people and vulnerable adults require protection improves their safety, enables them to thrive and ultimately saves lives
A vibrant economy in Wales means that we can recruit the very best talent which will help develop our safeguarding software even further ultimately help more organisations in Wales but also around the globe.
