Call of the Wild

How are you contributing to Wales' vibrant economy?

Being true to the values of the organisation which flow through all parts of the business. This means being ethical in all transactions whether internal or external. We seek to employ locally and look for those having the right attitude as much as technical ability. These individuals can then be trained to embed the behaviours and values required which results in loyal, committed and engaged staff who become outstanding advocates for organisation. In addition we seek to build a trusted network of local suppliers and have reciprocal service offers between that network. The Community within which we operate is also of the utmost importance to us. This can provide an invaluable support network the benefit of which is not to be underestimated. We therefore seek to invest in that Community whenever possible.

What does Vibrant Economy Wales mean to you and your organisation?

A vibrant economy means vibrant communities which is important for Wales. Vibrant communities can only benefit our organisation as they help retain younger people thereby providing a ready made workforce, help sustain local services and overall create a more appealing environment for business to operate within.

What key piece of advice would you give to others on their Vibrant Economy Wales journey?

Be ethical in everything you do and invest ‘in local’ with your staff, suppliers and other service providers. If you can build up a trusted loyal network then it can be more cost effective and they are there when you need them often offering discretionary effort as a result.
